The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad after responding to a report of a male subject shot in the chest in the 100 block of Amelia, Cahokia at around 11:00pm.. Jerry Jackson was located inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital where he died from his wounds.
