The St .Clair County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Jamell Bridges. On 10-14-2016 at approximately 10:30am, St. Clair County deputies were called to Judith Drive in unincorporated Cahokia for a report of a man lying in the roadway unresponsive. Deputies located Jamell Bridges (age 24) who had been killed from a gun shot wound to the chest.
As a result of this investigation, DeMarcus Scott (age 24) was charged with 1st Degree Murder. His bond was set at $1,000,000.
