The Webster Groves Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad to investigate a shooting which lead to the death of Shamarcus McCullough (age 20). At approximately 10:14pm, police were dispatched to the eastbound lanes of Interstate 44 near Big Bend. An investigation revealed two vehicles had been driving eastbound on the interstate when one vehicle fired gun shots into the other vehicle. Shamarcus McCullough and another occupant of his vehicle suffered gunshot wounds. A third person in Sharmarcus’ vehicle suffered non-gunshot injuries. Shamarcus later died at the hospital from his gunshot wounds.
