The North County Police Cooperative requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Quintell Harris (age 36). At approximately 4:03am, police officers responded to Phillips 66 gas station (6150 Natural Bridge Avenue, Pine Lawn) for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they located Quintell Harris in the parking lot. He had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.

At approximately 9:45pm, police officers were sent to a residence in the 7700 block of Woodstock Road for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived on scene, they located Eugene Davis inside the residence. He had been shot and was transported to the hospital where he died.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Jarrett Obenauer. At 7:00am, deputies responded to the 3900 block of Circle Drive in Robertsville, MO for a report of a vehicle in the roadway. There they found Jarrett Obenauer (age 29) inside the vehicle dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

The North County Police Cooperative requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Derrick Brookfield. At approximately 1:31am, police officers responded to the corner of Martin Luther King Dr and Ogden Ave in Wellston for a report of a shooting. There they located Derrick Brookfield (age 58) and another man who had both been shot. Derrick died from his injuries. The other man was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
As a result of this investigation, Cedric Maxwell Jr (age 28) was charged with Murder 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Robbery 1st Degree, and Assault 1st Degree. His bond was set at $1,000,000.
Detectives are still looking for a second unidentified accomplice. The second suspect is not believed to be in the St. Louis area.

At approximately 7:09pm, officers responded to the 3400 Block of Lucas and Hunt in Beverly Hills, MO for a report of a shooting. There officers located a metro transit bus driver who had been shot in the upper body as he was driving the bus. The bus was occupied by several passengers at the time of the shooting. The passengers reported the gunshot originated from outside the bus and struck the driver as the bus was moving. The bus driver was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

At approximately 3:20pm, officers responded to the 8600 block of Trumbell, Bel Ridge, MO for a report of a person shot. There officers located Gregg Price (age 19) who had been shot. He was transported to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
Investigators are asking the public’s help in locating a 2012 Volvo S60-T5 with black tinted windows. The vehicle has Missouri temporary registration plate 05H-DJC (expired 7-15-2021).
