The Maryville Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Ronald Holland. At 4:05pm, a 911 call was received about a deceased person found in the 2000 block of North Bluff Road. When officers arrived on scene, they found the body of Ronald Holland (age 41) face down in a pool of blood. He had been shot multiple times.
As a result of this investigation, Danyiel Johnson (age 40), was charged with 2 counts of 1st Degree Murder, Use of a Stolen Firearm in the Commission of an Offense, and Possession of Weapon by a Felon. His bond was set at $2,000,000.
