Suspects: Deondra R. Canaday and Tashayule Regina Armstrong
The Sauget Police Depatment requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Dean Ebert. At approximately 8:12am, officers responded to Pop’s Night Club (1403 Mississippi Avenue) for a report of shots fired. There officers located Dean Ebert (age 40) deceased in the parking lot from a gunshot wound.
As a result of this investigation, the following criminal charges were issued in connection with Dean’s death:
Deondra Canaday (age 28) - First Degree Murder, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon – Bond $1,000,000
Tashayule Armstrong (age 32) - Murder/Other Forcible Felony, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon – Bond $1,000,000
