The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad when Troy police were called to a vehicle fire near 100 Frenchman Bluff Lane. A body, later identified as vehicle owner Jonathan Krocak, was found inside. His body was identified through DNA. The cause of the fire is still being investigated. The Major Case Squad was activated at the request of the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department after the discovery of the victim shot at the County Line Quick Shop at 2913 Camp Jackson Road. During the preliminary investigation, a suspect vehicle, a Silver Pontiac, was seen leaving the area of the shooting. The vehicle has an Illinois temporary tag attached and may have a dent on the front passenger door.

The Major Case Squad was activated at the request of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department after the discovery of human remains in the 800 block of Sulphur Springs Road in Imperial, MO. The remains were publicly identified on 03-26-2018 as Sattish Catching. Sattish’s death is being investigated as a homicide.
