The Alton Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad to investigate the death of Keron Hickman. At approximately 2:02am, police officers responded to the area of the 100 block of W. 19th Street for a report of an active shooter. There officers located three victims who had been shot. One of the victims, Keron Hickman (age 23) died from multiple gun shot wounds. The other two victims were transported to local hospitals and treated for their gunshot wounds.
As a result of this investigation, the following charges were issued in this case:
Jordan Jackson (age 20) - 1st Degree Murder (2 cts), Attempted Murder (2 cts), Aggravated Battery with a Firearm (2 cts), Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Bond set at $1,000,000.
Markell Taylor (age 18) - 1st Degree Murder (2 cts), Attempted Murder (2 cts), Aggravated Battery with a Firearm (2 cts), Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon. Bond set at $1,000,000.
Daelin Hampton (age 18) - Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon. Bond set at $103,000.
Kiondo Jones (age 19) - Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon. Bond set at $53,000.
Bryanna Kingcade (age 19)- Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon. Bond set at $53,000.
