The St. Charles Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Roy Nash. St. Charles police officers responded to the 1800 block of Willow Oak for a report of a man lying in the grass. There officers discovered Roy Nash (age 64) who was pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of this investigation, Damontay’e Perkins (age 17) and Roy’s granddaughter, Varjulia Watkins (age 17), were charged with the following in Roy’s murder:
Verjulia Watkins - Murder 1st Degree, Stealing-Motor Vehicle, Stealing-Firearm, Stealing-Physically Take, Tampering with Physical Evidence - $500,000 bond
Damontay'e Perkins - Murder 2nd Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Stealing-Motor Vehicle, Tampering with Physical Evidence - $250,000 bond
