The Alton Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the deaths of Elijah Ingram and Derrick Vaughn. At approximately 10:30pm, police officers responded to a home in the 3100 block of Lawn Street after neighbors reported hearing shots fired. Elijah Ingram (age 30) and Derrick Vaughn (age 28) were located deceased inside the residence.
As a result of the investigation, Vincent Gordon (age 36) was charged with 1st Degree Murder (4 cts), Unlawful Possession of Weapon by a Felon, and Escape in their deaths. His bond was set at $5,000,000.
