Around 10:50am, Cahokia police officers responded to a shooting in the 30 block of Delores Street. Upon their arrival, they located Markell DeBerry (age 19) lying in the street suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital where he later died. A second victim (age 21) had also been shot and was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
