The Bellefontaine Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Kendric Donelson (age 35). At approximately 2:14am, police officers responded to the 10000 block of Hedge Drive for a report of shots fired. Officers located Kendric deceased in front of a residence.
As a result of this investigation, suspect Jimmy Smith (age 52) was arrested and charged with Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action. His bond was set at $750,000.
