The Calverton Park Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad In investigating the death of Demetria Howard. At approximately 12:55am, police officers responded to the 40 block of Grether Avenue for a welfare check. There they found Demetria Howard (age 23) deceased inside her residence with multiple gun shot wounds.
As a result of this investigation, Perry Green (age 24) was charged with Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action in Demetria’s death. His bond was set at $500,000.
