The Madison County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Randy Gori. Around 8:56pm, Deputies responded to a 911 call to 4586 Mooney Creek Road in rural Edwardsville. Upon their arrival, they located resident Randy Gori (age 47) deceased at the scene. A black 2020 Rolls Royce SUV Cullinan was taken from the residence. The vehicle has since been located. A person of interest has been identified. Around 10:50am, Cahokia police officers responded to a shooting in the 30 block of Delores Street. Upon their arrival, they located Markell DeBerry (age 19) lying in the street suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital where he later died. A second victim (age 21) had also been shot and was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Pagedale Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Keith Solomon (age 45). At approximately 4:45pm, Pagedale police officers responded to the 1400 block of Nixon for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found two victims with gunshot wounds. One of the victims, identified as Keith Solomon, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Scott’s body was found by a construction crew just before 7:00am near the intersection of Poag Road and Illinois Route 111. Scott was known to frequent the Collinsville, Edwardsville, and Caseyville areas. He was also known to use the local bus lines for transportation.
