The Cahokia Heights Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Derrion Davis (age 38). At approximately 12:29am, officers responded to BB's Sports Bar and Grill (7301 Lake Drive) for a call of shots fired with a man down. When officers arrived on scene, they located Derrion Davis and another individual who had both been shot. They were both transported hospitals in St. Louis, MO. Derrion died from his injuries. The other individual survived.
As a result of this investigation, Finese Spiller (age 34) was charged with 1st Degree Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon in Derrion Davis’ death.
