The Cahokia Heights Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Jamya Dukes (age 22). The evening before on 04/01/2025 at approximately 10:29pm, officers responded to Touchette Hospital for a report of a gunshot victim. Jamya had been transported to the hospital by unidentified individuals with multiple gunshot wounds. Jamya died from her injuries at the hospital.
