The Dupo Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Cody Rhodes (age 37). At approximately 11:32am, officers responded to the 100 block of North 2nd Street for a report of multiple gun shots. There they found two people, Cody Rhodes and another individual, who had both been shot. Both people were transported to the hospital. Cody Rhodes died at the hospital from his injuries. The other person had non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of this investigation, the following criminal charges were issued in this case:
Kingston Todd - age 16 (charged as an adult)
1st Degree Murder
Possession of a Firearm without a FOID (Firearm Owner Identification) Card
Forgery
Bryce Rhodes - son of Cody Rhodes - age 18
Unlawful Sale of a Firearm
Possession of a Firearm without a FOID (Firearm Owner Identification) Card
Obstructing Justice
15 year-old Suspect
