The Cahokia Heights Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Bradford Readus (age 22). At approximately 1:04pm, officers responded to the 700 block of Mildred Avenue for a report of a person shot inside a residence. There officers located Bradford who was pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of this investigation, Niko Goree (age 21) was charged with 1st Degree Murder in Bradford’s death.
