The Maplewood Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Terron Vales (age 32). At approximately 5:40pm, officers responded to the 2200 block of Yale Avenue for a report of a shooting in progress. When officers arrived on scene, they located Terron with a gunshot wound. Terron was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
As a result of this investigation, Justin Vance (age 18) was charged with Murder 2nd Degree and Armed Criminal Action. His bond was set at $1,000,000. Two juveniles are also suspects in this case.
