The North County Police Cooperative requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Shila Williams (age 30) and her unborn child. At approximately 8:40pm, officers responded to the 6100 block of Page Avenue in Wellston, MO for a report of two people shot in a car. Shila was pronounced dead on scene. She was approximately 4 months pregnant at the time of her death. The second victim, a 30 year-old woman, was transported to the hospital and survived her gunshot wound. A 72 year-old woman was also in the car but was uninjured.

As a result of this investigation, Kelvin Miller (age 42) was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Resisting Arrest for a Felony. His bond was set at $100,000.
