The Cahokia Heights Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Ralen Liverpool (age 21). At 11:22pm, police officers responded to the area of 73rd Street and Glenwood Avenue for a report of shots fired. There they located Ralen Liverpool inside his vehicle. He had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of this investigation, the following individuals were each charged with 1st Degree Murder:
Elijah Tillman (age 22) - bond $2,500,000
Aliya Zeilman (age 19) - bond $1,000,000
Lavar Gilbert Jr (age 25) - bond $1,000,000
