The Cahokia Heights Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the deaths of Dantez Ford (age 21) and Sean Johnson (age 24). At approximately 11:22am, police officers responded to a residence in the 4100 block of Brady Avenue for a report of two deceased males. There they located Dantez Ford inside a vehicle parked in the driveway. Sean Johnson was located inside the residence. Both men had been shot and were pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of this investigation, Kevin Lipsey (age 32) was charged with two counts of 1st Degree Murder. His bond was set at $2,000,000.
