The St. Peters Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Amethyst Killian. At approximately 12:00pm, officers responded to the 100 block of North Church Street for a report of a deceased woman lying outside. There officers located Amethyst Killian (age 22) who had been stabbed. She was pronounced dead on scene. She was pregnant at the time of her death. Amehyst had been reported missing a day earlier on 11/26/2020 at 8:00pm by family members after she failed to return home.
As a result of this investigation, Damion Delgado (age 27) was charged with Murder 1st Degree, Murder 2nd Degree for the unborn child, and Armed Criminal Action. His bond was set at $1,000,000.
