The Collinsville Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Darian Woods. At approximately 8:12pm, officers responded to the 100 block of Chandler Street for a report of a home invasion. There officers located Darian Woods (age 23) inside an apartment dead from a gunshot wound.
As a result of this investigation, George Lacey (age 25), Adisa Smith (age 27), and Demandrell Davis (age 40) were each charged with 4 counts of 1st Degree Murder, 1 count of Armed Robbery, and 1 count of Home Invasion. George Lacey and Demandrell Davis were also charged with Unlawful Possession of Weapon by a Felon. They were all arrested on no-bond warrants.
