The Cahokia Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Konvonta Lowery. On 11/02/2020 at approximately 10:08pm, officers responded to Ruby Street for a report of a vehicle that crashed into a house. A female occupant in the car said she had been shot. There they located Konvonta Lowery (age 21) who had been shot and was lying in the front yard of the residence. Konvonta was pronounced dead on scene. The female was transported to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
