The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Kenneth Mann. At approximately 3:40pm, deputies responded to a home in the 9900 block of Jones Creek Road in Dittmer, MO for a call of a shooting involving two victims. There deputies found two people who had been shot. Kenneth Mann (age 57) was shot in the stomach. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other victim was shot in the leg and survived.
As a result of the investigation into this case, Jesse Murray (age 27) was charged with Murder 2nd Degree, Armed Criminal Action (2 counts), and Assault 1st Degree. His bond was set at $500,000.
