The Bellefontaine Neighbors Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Jerome Williams. At approximately 12:42am, police officers responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Kilgore Drive for a person who had been shot and was laying on the front porch. Officers arrived on scene and located Jerome Williams (age 29) on the porch suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Investigators believe Jerome was shot on Kilgore Drive between Coburg Lands Drive and Ashbrook Drive. He then made it to a nearby home for help.
