The Wentzville Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of a 26 year-old man. At 1:37am, firefighters responded to a home in the 500 block of South Walnut. The body of a 26 year-old man was found inside the burning residence. The man died from stab wounds and smoke inhalation. It is believed the man committed suicide.
