The Northwoods Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the shooting of a 54 year-old man and a 20 year-old man in the 4700 block of Nelson Drive. It was believed 54 year-old man’s death was imminent due to the severity of his gunshot wounds. However, both men ultimately survived the shooting.
As a result of this investigation, Evander Hargrove (age 20) was charged with Assault 1st Degree (2 counts), Armed Criminal Action (2 counts), and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. His bond was set at $250,000.
