The Belleville Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Nathan Funkhouser. On 03-06-2016 at 9:19pm, police officers responded to Nathan Funkhouser’s apartment in the 500 block of North 40th Street, Belleville for a request to check the well-being of Funkhouser (age 34). Officers discovered Funkhouser dead inside his apartment from being stabbed in the chest and blunt force trauma.
As a result of this investigation, Jeremy Jackson (age 33) was charged with 1st Degree Murder. His bond was set at $800,000.
