The Macoupin County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Joseph Wilson. At 3:30pm, deputies responded to a remote area around 7000 Illinois Route 159, Shipman, IL, after two teenagers found skeletal remains. The remains were determined to be Joseph Wilson (age 24) who had disappeared half a mile away 4 years earlier in 2012.
