The Madison Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Mitchell Coleman. At approximately 1:00pm, police officers responded to the 1000 block of Washington Avenue for a report of shots fired. They located Mitchell Coleman (age 44) shot multiple times inside his black Chevy pickup. He was pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of this investigation, James Moore (age 23) was charged with two counts of 1st Degree Murder. His bond was set at $250,000.
