The Columbia Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of a 45 year-old man. At approximately 5:25pm, officers responded to a residence in the 900 block of Bluffside Road for a welfare check. There they found the man deceased inside the residence. After investigating the man’s death, it was determined he had died from a drug overdose.
