The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Elizabeth "Betsy" Faria. At around 10:00pm, police responded to a residence in the 100 block of Sumac Drive, Troy, MO for a 911 call of someone deceased inside the residence. When deputies arrived on scene, they located the body of Elizabeth Faria (age 42) inside the residence. Betsy had been stabbed 55 times and was pronounced dead on scene.
