The East St. Louis Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Linda Lewis. At approximately 10:52am, police officers responded to the area of 26th Street and Bond Avenue for a report of a female on the side of the road. There they found Linda Lewis (age 49) deceased.
