The St. Clair County Sherrif’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Milton Dowell. At approximately 7:30pm, deputies responded to the 2300 block of Lorraine Drive near Cahokia for a report of a person who had possibly been shot and was sitting in a car. There they found Milton Dowell (age 22) deceased in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with the engine still running. Milton had been shot.
