The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of a 54 year-old man. On 10-06-2010 at approximately 2:51am, police officers responded to the 500 block of West Walnut Street in Winfield for a report of a sudden death. There they found the man deceased inside the residence. After an autopsy was performed, the Major Case Squad was activated to investigate his death.

After an extensive investigation into the man’s death, it is believed he died from an accidental drug overdose.
