The Creve Coeur Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Mary Colletta. At approximately 5:00pm, police officers responded to St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur where they found Mary Colletta (age 30) dead on the ground next to her car. She had been stabbed to death.
As a result of this investigation, Mary’s estranged husband, Christopher Colletta (age 38), was charged with Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action in her death. He was arrested on a no-bond warrant.
