The East St. Louis Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the deaths of Darnell Turner Sr and Araybia Moore. On 06-14-2010 at approximately 11:29pm, police officers responded to the 1300 block of Market Avenue for a report of an unresponsive male and female at the residence. When they arrived on scene, they found Darnell Turner Sr (age 21) and Araybia Moore (age 20) deceased inside the residence. They had each been shot.
As a result of this investigation, Eric Tucker (age 19) was charged with two counts of 1st Degree Murder. His bond was set at $750,000.
