The Jennings Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Darvin Lewis. At approximately 6:27pm, police officers responded to a residence in the 5400 block of Hamilton Avenue for a report of a disturbance. When they arrived on scene, they found Darvin Lewis (age 30) inside the residence where he had been shot. He was pronounced dead on scene.
