The Maplewood Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Ahmed Eltawmi. On 06-04-2010 at approximately 9:11pm, police officers responded to the 2400 block of Laclede Station Road for a report of a shooting with a subject down. There they found Ahmed Eltawmi (age 50) in the parking lot of an apartment building suffering from a gunshot wound. Ahmed was transported to the hospital where he died.
Police were able to develop a computer-generated composite sketch of the suspect in this case. The suspect was described as 22-26 years-old, about 5' 8"-5' 10' tall and weighing 150-170 lbs. It is suspected he is left-handed. He was last seen wearing a white do-rag, white t-shirt, and blue jeans.
