The Troy, IL Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Chad Bell. At approximately 11:49am, police officers responded to the 500 block of East Center Street for a report of an unresponsive person in Frieden’s Cemetery. There officers found Chad Bell (age 29) deceased.
As a result of this investigation, Michael Bovinett (age 36) was charged with Drug Induced Homicide, Concealment of a Homicidal Death, and Obstructing Justice/Destroy Evidence in Chad’s death. Michael’s bond was set at $1,000,000.
