The Florissasnt Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the shooting of a 15 year-old girl. At approximately 11:39pm, police officers responded to the area of New Florissant Road and Spring Drive for a report of a shooting. There they located the 15 year-old girl lying on the sidewalk and bleeding from a gunshot wound to the chest. The girl was able to tell officers that two men stole her purse and shot her. The girl was transported to the hospital where she survived her gunshot wound.
As detectives were investigating this robbery and shooting, they discovered another robbery that had occurred just before this one by the same suspects.
As a result of this investigation, the following criminal charges were issued:
Carlos Jackson (age 18) - Robbery 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action - Bond $500,000
Terrance Johnson (age 21) - Robbery 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action - Bond $250,000
Eric Benford Jr. (age 17) - Robbery 2nd Degree - Bond $25,000
