The St Charles City Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Robert Eidman. At approximately 12:37pm, police officers responded to the office of Brooke Insurance (2295 First Capitol Drive) for a report of an injured man. There they located the insurance company’s owner, Robert Eidman (age 48), who had been shot multiple times.
With the assistance of this investigation that was continued by the St. Charles City Police Department, the following charges were issued 3 years later in Eidman’s death:
Cleo Hines (age 28 at the time of the murder) - Murder 1st Degree and Robbery 1st Degree - Bond $1,000,000
Paul White (age 30 at the time of the murder) - Murder 1st Degree and Robbery 1st Degree - Bond $1,000,000
