The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Terry Huighe. Police officers responded to the area of the 7300 block of Mulberry Road near Barnhart for a report of a man down. Terry Huighe’s body had been located about 400 yards from his residence. Deputies discovered Terry Huighe (age 45) had been shot. He was pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of this investigation, Honduran citizen Cesar Martinez (age 21) and Mexican citizen Armando Santoyo (age 23), both illegal aliens, were both charged with Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action. Their bond was set at $1,000,000 each.
