The O’Fallon, IL Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Corey Kirsch. Police officers responded to the 400 block of East 3rd Street for a report of three suspicious people in the area. There they located Corey Kirsch (age 42) inside a residence. He had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of this investigation, the following criminal charges were issued in connection with Corey’s murder:
Anthony Lawson (age 17 - charged as an adult) - 1st Degree Murder - Bond $500,000
Amanda Kent (age 19) - Obstructing Justice - Bond $100,000
Amanda Kent was also charged in a homicide for Major Case Squad Report #531.
