The Swansea Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the deaths of Dolores and Henry Kahle. At approximately 3:25pm, police officers responded to the 1800 block of Duncan Street for a report of a man with a gun. There they located Henry Kahle (age 79) and Dolores Kahle (age 69) inside their residence. They had been stabbed to death.
It was determined Larry Sicka (age 47), the estranged husband of Dolores’ and Henry’s daughter, was responsible for Henry and Dolores’ murders. On 11/10/2006, police officers attempted to enter a home to arrest Larry Sicka for the murders. Larry shot at police officers and shot a Belleville police officer in the face causing permanent blindness in both eyes. Larry then shot and killed himself.
