The Wentzville Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Joseph Walsh. At approximately 5:20pm, a vehicle belonging to Joseph Walsh was located in Ferguson, MO. The Ferguson Police Department requested the Wentzville Police Department respond to Joseph’s residence in the 200 block of West 4th Street in Wentzville to check his well-being. There police officers found Joseph Walsh (age 65) inside his residence. His feet, hands, and head had been duct taped and he had suffocated.
As a result of this investigation, Jonathan Riggs (age 21 - stepgrandson to Joseph Walsh) and Jon Conderman (age 18) were charged with Murder 2nd Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, and Robbery 2nd Degree. Their bond was set at $500,000 each.
