The Cahokia Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Vicki Gilispie. Police officers responded to a residence in the 1700 block of Loretta Avenue after Vicki’s daughter found Vicki deceased inside the house. There they located Vicki Gilispie (age 53) deceased in her bedroom with her hands tied behind her back.
As a result of this investigation, the following criminal charges were issued in connection with Vicki’s death:
Kenneth Hayes (age 23) - 1st Degree Murder - Bond $750,000
Derris Company (age 33) - Robbery - Bond $250,000
