The Jennings Police Department requested the assistance of the Major Case Squad in investigating the death of Ronald Edmonds. At approximately 6:15pm, police officers responded to the 6800 block of Lena Avenue for a well-being check after Ronald Edmonds did not show up for work. When they arrived, officers located Ronald Edmonds (age 33) inside the residence. Ronald had been shot and was pronounced dead on scene.
As a result of this investigation, Sulieman Rideout (age 17) was charged with Murder 1st Degree, Stealing a Motor Vehicle, and Armed Criminal Action. He was arrested on a no-bond warrant.
